1. Introduction

Builder ("Builder", "we", "us", or "our") operates builder.ui.pe and the associated web application that lets you build, preview, and ship Flutter apps with AI (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

This policy applies to personal data we process about visitors, account holders, and users of the Service. By using Builder, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information. When you sign up or sign in, authentication is handled by our identity provider, Auth0. We receive your email address, name (if provided), a unique user identifier, and profile details you choose to share. We never receive or store your password — it is managed securely by Auth0.
Content you provide. The prompts, descriptions, project settings, and other inputs you submit, along with the Flutter/Dart projects and build artifacts generated for you.
Usage data. How you interact with the Service — features used, builds run, pages viewed, and actions taken — to operate and improve the product.
Device and log data. IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and diagnostic logs, collected automatically for security and reliability.

Communications. Messages you send us via support or contact channels.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal data to:

Provide, maintain, and operate the Service, including generating Flutter code, live previews, and build artifacts (APK, AAB, keystores);
Authenticate you and secure your account;
Process transactions and manage subscriptions where applicable;
Respond to your requests and provide customer support;
Monitor, debug, and improve performance, reliability, and features;
Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
Send you service-related and, where permitted, product communications; and
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), consent (for optional cookies and marketing), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. AI Processing and Your Content

Builder uses artificial intelligence to turn your descriptions into Flutter code. To do this, your prompts and relevant project context may be processed by us and by trusted AI/model providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality and data-processing obligations.

You own the projects and code Builder generates for you, as described in our Terms of Service. We do not sell your content, and we do not use your private project content to train third-party foundation models except as permitted by you or required to provide the Service.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed:

Service providers. Vendors who help us run the Service — including Auth0 (authentication), cloud hosting and build infrastructure, storage, AI/model providers, analytics, and payment processors — under contracts that require appropriate safeguards.
Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Builder, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
With your direction. When you choose to connect or export to third-party services (e.g., Google Play, the App Store).

7. Data Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it. You can request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.

8. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure. Authentication is delegated to Auth0, and signing keystores and secrets are handled with care. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

9. International Data Transfers

We may process and store data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (we do not sell personal data).

11. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand usage. For details and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
